EP2 - Garmin Tactix Pro 7 Solar - Is it worth the money?
The short answer is NO. Unless youre specifically looking for the features of aviation, nexrad, night vision options and halo measurements, this is probably not the model for you, instead get the Fenix 7 Pro 51mm Sapphire solar water for a little less money and even then that is an expensive watch!
Dont get the solar if youre not going to be outside mostly, and get the amoled variants if you want higher resolution above 280x280. This watch is really for people who are outside and move about alot in a nutshell. It has some amazing features and really cool items on it, but the cost is a bit much high.
I decided to upgrade from a casio prw 2500t to the Garmin Tactix Pro 7 Solar watch. This watch has many feature that I make use of while working as a Ranger in parks. The internal map feature set is valuable and worth having in addition to the solar charging for my outdoor uses. This review is fairly long and DOES NOT cover all the aspect of the watch. There is a forum poster who did some research on the solar charging and here is the link

I wanted to test out filming wildlife on the GH6. I dudnt expose for the birds right and had to do more post edit work. Using the hybridlog gamna . Im impressed with the poetential quality in the right hands this camera is great!Still learning on it. What's the value of the original Leatherman
I love the watch and have it myself but the kill switch is nothing but a gimmick. If you wanted yopu could easily desolder the the NAND and dumb the binary data from it, and even un-delete data from it the same way cellbrite works with mobile phones in law enforcement. The data is not even encrypted!
Yes its a gimmick. I think at that point in order to stop an enemy from repurposing the tech id destroy it physically too.

Really great stuff! My grandfather in law was a hardcore ham guy before his health declined. Been meaning to get my license for ages and may just do that one of these days. CB is something I don't know why I don't already have.

good video...i still use my Fenix 7 but have switched to my Apple Watch Ultra 2 for a daily driver. Just wanted something different. I agree with you, the solar is NOT needed. Even when you are in the sun doesnt charge it. Just put the stupid thing in battery saver mode if you are going out for an extended time.

What can you say about VX-2R in comparison to 3R? Sensitivity, features etc. I'm thinking of buying 2r or 3r. And its so strange to know the charging issues with 3r. Never heard of them.

Wow! Never knew about this model. Thanks for the video! I do have a couple of Wengers. I just learned that the curved/recessed area of the claw can opener serves as an excelleent 1/4" hex wrench. You can turn your knife into a torque screwdriver with a 1/4" bit extender placed in that can opener hole.

If a guy goes to Home Depot over to the hand tools, on the bottom shelf there’s some cheap needle nose made by Stanley. The interesting thing about them is they are Multitool style, needle nose, regular, wire cutter combo. A pair of those with a Swiss champ and a guy is pretty set up
I don’t know man, I’d never sacrifice the toothpick. I use it all the time for my teeth, also works good for gently cleaner electronic ports
The tooth pick is a great tool and yes to the electronics. Im outside more than inside and i usually have a electronics kit for when i work on electronics.

I even have the AA adapter for the Vx-1r. 2 years ago at a local ham convention a guy walking through had the Vx-1r on a lanyard. The second I saw it I wanted one. EDC to keep in your vehicle? Take all of that hiking with you? Comprehensive kit but maybe more redundancy than you realistically need.
